In the Name of God

The 16th Ammar Popular Film Festival

In an era where truth is shackled by distortion, and the voice of the oppressed is lost in the clamor of dominant media, art remains the last bastion of awakened consciences. Following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, another storm arose: the storm of the world’s free people, who, with pen, camera, melody, and image, carried the cry of Palestine’s oppression to the ear of history.

The Ammar Popular Film Festival invites artists, filmmakers, poets, writers, and media and cultural activists from around the world to participate in the international section of this event under the central theme “America, the Vanguard of Crime.” It calls on them to stand firm in the trench of truth with all they have and to strike at the body of occupation with the weapon of art.

In this edition of the festival, works will be welcomed that resonate with the universal spirit of resistance; works that unearth the truth from beneath the rubble of distortion, proclaim justice against oppressors, and use the language of art to make the voice of oppressed nations heard by the world.

The suggested themes for this section are not merely subjects for narration, but shared wounds on the body of humanity; and they serve as a platform for creating works that can awaken the global conscience, transcend borders, and raise the flag of steadfastness in the trenches of art.
